In order to make 2010/11 as successful as last year, we need your help. While you are able to submit your name for any position, the following positions are currently vacant for this year. Please email me directly (rathearn@gmail.com) if you would like to help out - regardless of how much time you have to contribute.
Vice President
Takes over if the President gets hit by a bus. General leadership and decision-making for the organization. Typically fills the role of President the following year, though not always the case.
Secretary
Keeps notes of group decisions and other records of the organization, as needed. Also involved in general leadership and decision-making.
Communications Chair
Keep the website running and monitor for new members and spammers. Also monitor/manage the LA Hokies GMail and Facebook accounts.
Hermosa Beach Football Chair
Ensure the bar is secured with video and sound for each football game. Arrive early to hang decorations and stay late to take them down. Could be run by a team of 2 people as long as the bar has 1 primary contact. NOTE - I will not have time to be in Hermosa for every game so if the folks in Hermosa want to have the atmosphere we've had over the past years for the games, somebody will need to step up and commit to running the show.
Hermosa Beach Raffle Chair
I've decided to make this an official position since I won't be down at the beach every week to run the raffle. This raffle accounted for 50% of our scholarship rundraising and is critical. For 5 games, this person would be responsible for selling raffle tickets at the Hermosa Beach football bar during the commercial breaks for the first half and then raffling off prizes as the 3rd quarter starts.
