Due to the Marshall game being televised on ESPN360 this Saturday, we will not have the ability to broadcast the game at Big Wang's. :(
The GOOD NEWS, is if you are interested in joining fellow Hokies in the South Bay on Saturday morning, Cruz Room will be providing the feed for us to watch the ma…

I'm looking to buy 3 to 4 tickets to the Bama game. If anyone can help me find some reasonably priced tickets I would really appreciate it. The ticket prices on StubHub and ebay are way to expensive.

Dear Chapter President and fellow alumni,
One more e-mail from a Hokie about Virginia Tech's Relay for Life event!
Our event will be taking place this Friday and Saturday (April 24-25) on the drillfield, from 6pm-6am. There will be free food, entertainment, games, and fun! It's a family friendly event, so if you happen to be back in town for the spring game, feel free to stop on by with your family - we would love to see you!
Also, if any alum would be interested in doing a little community s…

Hey guys!
As we enter our barren season between basketball and football, a few of us came up with an idea of creating a set of LAHokies logos for our own apparel/merchandise line. I've successfully used
Zazzle.com in the past, and the best part is that after we have a logo or three set on the site, you will be able to apply it to their wide array of products, allowing you to create your own, custom, LAHokies merchandise! Another added benefit: the site also al…

Hey gang,
In retrospect, we had a great 2008. Our events were very well attended, and I think our organization made huge strides in reaching out to Hokies in the area, letting them know that we're here and we are a great group to get together with!
Despite the 150+ members of LAHokies.com; and the other 150+ email addresses we've acquired through other events, the biggest hindrance we have in engaging our community is contact information. Blacksburg provides us with no one's information; but doe…

Hello everyone!
We're a month away from kickoff, and we wanted to provide an update for football watching parties:
We're carrying on with our well-established football watching party in the South Bay, where Victor has arranged TV and sound privileges at
Cruz Room in Hermosa Beach. If you care to get updates on these particular football watching events, please subscribe to the 'South Bay Hokies' group!
We have not had any takers in helping to establish our Hollywood football parties, as…

We're looking for help organizing Hollywood football watching parties this year, due to Philips departure. This is a role that could be a lot of fun, but it does involve a little bit of work. Essentially, we're looking for someone to help in finding a venue that would be able to show our games, and ideally, provide us with sound for our games in an area that would encourage our Hollywood crowd to come out consistently. Big Wang's has been good to us in year's past, but I will leave the decision…

Hey gang. We heard word today that Phillip Johnson, who has done a really great job helping us out over the past few years with events, is moving to Atlanta. He has been paramount in organizing football watch parties in Hollywood; and played a big role in helping out with our charity event last summer. Phillip is a Blacksburg native, and in getting to work with him last year on the concert event; I got to realize how special it was to have him out here with us. He really busted his tail for our…

We'd like to welcome everyone to the new online hub for the Virginia Tech Alumni Association here in the Los Angeles region. As you can quickly tell, the formatting of this site is a little more complex than what we've probably once had in the past, and the design is meant to encourage interactivity amongst ourselves in hopes of creating a closer, more engaging Alumni presence here in Los Angeles.
This site will be a living website; whereas the majority of the content on t
