2009 is here!

Hey gang,
In retrospect, we had a great 2008. Our events were very well attended, and I think our organization made huge strides in reaching out to Hokies in the area, letting them know that we're here and we are a great group to get together with!
Despite the 150+ members of LAHokies.com; and the other 150+ email addresses we've acquired through other events, the biggest hindrance we have in engaging our community is contact information. Blacksburg provides us with no one's information; but does send out fliers and emails on our behalf for local events.

There are over 1800 Alumni in our chapter area, according to Blacksburg's records; and I can guarantee most of that information is incorrect. Please take a moment here in the new year to update your contact information with the school. It will take 10 min of your time, and will help us with making you aware of wider-audience events.

Updating your contact information with the VTAA is very easy. By visiting the alumni website http://www.alumni.vt.edu/

There is a link on the left menu called Update My Profle/PID which will let you update your contact information if you know your PID, or request a PID so that they can update once they have it. Its that easy...
